Does my child have to be dry before they start at Chaldon Preschool?
No, children can wear nappies or pull ups if they aren’t yet dry. We understand that all children develop at their own pace and all of our staff are fully CRB checked and can therefore change any nappies or pull ups. We will work with you and your child to get them dry when they are ready.
What are the security arrangements for my child at Chaldon Preschool?
Once all the children have come into Pre-school the main gate stays closed at all times during preschool hours and is also bolted on the inside for the children’s safety. Only named persons are able to collect the children from preschool and if someone different to normal is picking up they have to provide staff with security information. Staff will not allow a child to leave the premises with an unauthorised person under any circumstances.
When can I claim my 15 hours free childcare entitlement?
We are able to claim up to 15 hours free childcare entitlement for your child the term after their 3rd birthday. For example a child born between 1st September and 31st December would be funded from January, a child born between 1st January and 31st March would be funded in April and a child born between 1st April and 31st August would be funded in September.
You are entitled to 5 x 3 hour sessions per week, a total of 15 hours. Parents must sign a registration form at the start of funding and a parent declaration form at the beginning of each term. You will need to provide a photocopy of your child’s birth certificate, which will be required to support the funding application. At what age can my child start at Chaldon Preschool?
We accept children from the age of 2 and if we have places we can start children mid-term. Places are offered on the basis of a completed application form and deposit having been received. We offer settling in sessions for new children too so please feel free to give us a call on 01883 343866 to discuss this further.
How will I be invoiced?
Invoices are issued half termly in advance and must be settled within 10 days.
